Polly Hunter, MT-BC
Polly Hunter grew up singing and performing in the Lowcountry. Her favorite venues were nursing homes and assisted living facilities where she discovered at an early age that music could serve a deeper purpose than simply providing entertainment for the listener.
Polly earned her bachelor of music degree and graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Upon discovering the field of music therapy years later, she went on to earn an equivalency degree in music therapy from Charleston Southern University.
After completing her education at CSU, Polly was accepted for a 1200-hour university affiliated internship with a local hospice. During her internship she participated as a member of the interdisciplinary team addressing the needs of the patients and their loved ones as well as the hospice staff.
